Work Outs!

Here are some ideas for working out:
Walk--outside or treadmill
Run--great way to discover local parks
ZUMBA--all the craze (Imagine Dancing With the Stars...on speed.)
Wii--great to begin with and tracks your workouts and time!
Weights--start small 3 or 5 pounds...or soup cans and then gradually work up.
It really doesn't matter what you do...just do something and commit to it for several times a week...before long you will feel better, stronger, and healthier!

Start thinking about those changes...the new you!

I want to learn to play the violin and the last thing I want people to notice is the top part of my arms waving(flapping) to them as I play. My goal is to do a little more weight training for my upper arms...than I would normally do because of this fact!...LOL.

Do you see yourself in a bikini, running on the beach
...a mini-skirt, sipping coffee at an outdoor cafe'
...thigh-high boots, looking smokin' hot? (I see that one for me.)

Whatever you are thinking, now is the time to start working at it.
I want to help you!

It's the Holidays...eat what you want...just don't overeat!

It's the holidays.
We wait for certain goodies all year and no one should "not" be able to enjoy them!
Eat what you want in moderation.
No one expects to lose weight during this time,
but keep in mind...no one wants to gain at this time either!
Have a cookie...just not 6 of them,
but if you do,
then skip the cake.

Make a vision/dream board.

Setting a goal is one thing, but striving for a goal is another.
Create a "VISION/DREAM" board.
(Oprah did.)
Ask yourself what you want out of life and then create it!
Put it somewhere that you can see what you have planned for you!

Don't become a failure because you failed.

If today is a bad day...and you eat a cookie, it's just a cookie; Stay focused on your goal and remember what you are trying to do. You are changing your eating habits and workout methods. You didn't get where you are overnight...but you can make the daily effort to change things for the positive. Eat a cookie--Walk a mile!

See the future you!

How do you want to look?
When you get up in the morning,
while on this weight loss adventure,
look in the mirror for the future you.

Don't wish for the "old" you,
the one from high school,
or regret how you look...
Look for who you are striving to be,
physically,
at the end of THIS journey.

I'll give you hint on mine...
look to the right!
Who do you admire?

Preparation

Don't put off another day getting healthy! Make small changes and start now. For example, if you are a cola drinker, like me, change to water half time and then, gradually give up cola all together! Think about something that you know you can do...right now: stop salting your food, change to whole wheat bread, eat more green veggies, stop eating after 8, or walk a bit. The idea is to start now and not make an excuse of "I'm going to start (insert Monday, after Christmas, next week, whenever) ". Whenever is now and you CAN do this! You are part of a group that wants you to succeed and be the best you can be...NOW.

Make a List

Today, make a list! Why do you want to lose weight. It can be a real eye-opener seeing on paper the things you are thinking in your mind!

I am pretty sure most of us want to get healthy, but I admit, I now want to be as fat as I thought I was in high school...LOL...and I want to be able to do a round-off back handspring again!

Anyway, you don't have to post the list here. Make a note to yourself, start a journal, add it to your memoirs! Just make it...and Oh yeah, you can check it twice!
